On October 15, 2021, in a lively, intimate atmosphere, Thuongmai University solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2021-2022 academic year and welcomed 4,438 new full-time students of 57th cohort and 1,240 students of international training programs of 18th cohort.
Under the influence of the Covid-19 pandemic, teaching and learning during the early days of the schoolyear has experienced a number of difficulties especially in localities that are conducting social distancing. A score of provinces and cities have to conduct online teaching; however, due to Internet traffic limitation, poor performance of teaching applications, the fact that a number of students lack learning devices, and limited assistance from their families lead to ineffective online learning in some areas.
Given the complicated happenings of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Government and Communist Party’s policy, the call of the Prime Minister, in order to support the Government, create more opportunities for the people to have early vaccination and share difficulties with the families disadvantaged by the pandemic.
Given the complicated happenings of the Covid-19 pandemic, Hanoi City is at the moment realizing social distancing under Directive No. 16 by Vietnam’s Government. So that no one is left behind and in order to share difficulties with international students staying in the Student’s Hall of Residence, the University has been conducting practical activities to support the students, giving them a peace of mind to overcome the pandemic.
The covid-19 pandemic has once again broken out in Vietnam at a rapid rate of spread and the number of new cases of infection shows no signs of cessation in recent days, causing significant damage to the country's socio-economic development. Responding to the Prime Minister's call to support the COVID-19 Vaccine Fund, identifying our national and social responsibilities, Thuongmai University has mobilized individuals and units in the University to donate so that more resources are obtained to ensure safety of life and health for themselves, their family and community.
